The purchasing department set out for 2015 to introduce a process of suppliers’ qualifications. The procedure is based on the preliminary analysis of personal information, workforce, economic-financial information, mandatory registrations, certifications and on the subsequent qualifications calculated by attributing a score, usually on a scale of 1 to 5 to measure technical performance, delivery performance and the performance on documentation.
Starting from this first step which identifies the economic and regulatory performance, in 2015-2016 we will be able to further qualify suppliers through an assessment of their adherence to the 4 areas covered by the 10 United Nations Global Compact principles.: human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. Such rules will be initially applied to a representative sampling of strategic suppliers and then extended to all suppliers.
